Location: NYC Office (Or Remote)

Compensation: $250-400k & 15% Book // (Sign-Ons offered)

Position Overview

This is a chance to join a well-capitalized trading firm with Billions in AUM , top-tier technical capabilities, and a track record of strong performance-based compensation . They are seeking an experienced Financial Transmission Right (FTR) trader to focus on trading congestion products across multiple Independent System Operators/Regional Transmission Organizations (ISO/RTOs) . The role involves active trading, market research, and the design of trading strategies.

As part of a growing FTR trading team , you will work closely with analysts and experienced traders to evaluate opportunities, manage positions, and test new ideas.

Responsibilities

\n
• Trade FTRs and related congestion products across multiple ISO/RTO markets
\n
• Conduct research on power market fundamentals and congestion dynamics
\n
• Develop and implement new trading strategies and risk management approaches
\n
• Monitor and analyze trades, positions, and portfolio exposures
\n
• Collaborate with team members
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 2+ years of experience as an FTR trader or in a closely related role
\n
• Strong working knowledge of at least one ISO/RTO market
\n
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of a strategy , including risk oversight
\n
• Proficiency in modeling, programming, and quantitative techniques
\n
• Strong analytical background, comfortable applying probability and statistics
\n
• Ability to make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment
\n
